The Moment Of Shame
May 25, 2025
On Memorial Day, we remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice, loved with the greatest of love, and laid their lives down so you and I could live free. In doing so, they followed in the footsteps of Jesus, who died so that we too might be free. The irony, though, is that so many of us live captive to our past and bound by our shame. In a world full of critics, we can often be our own harshest judges, living our lives shaped by shame. Shame deceives, distorts, and disqualifies, but Jesus dignifies. Learning to live lives set free from shame, this Sunday at Mendham Hills.
