That I May Know You

We sing the worship song, “Breathe," and it expresses the deepest desire of our souls. “This is the air I breathe…your holy presence, living in me…this is my daily bread…your very word, spoken to me…and I’m desperate for you!”  But are we really “desperate for God?" Do our lives match our words? This deep desire was the heart cry of Moses in Exodus 33, as he expressed his desire to know God more intimately and to experience Him more personally. He had seen what God could do in miracles surrounding the Exodus, but his true character was shown after the miraculous deliverance when he approached God and said, “I just want to know you.”
