In the 1981 Oscar-winning movie Chariots of Fire, Olympian Harold Abrahams gives voice to a universal ache.  As he prepared to run in the Olympic 100-meter final, he bemoaned that he had "ten lonely seconds to justify my whole existence." You and I might not be Olympic-level athletes, but we are all still competing, still trying to justify ourselves and our place in this world. We're all doing it, yet none of us have ever gotten there; we've never made it...ever wonder why? Learning to find peace and rest, and the justification we seek through the accomplishment of another, this Sunday at Mendham Hills.
